Aaron and Andrew Robinson graduating college from Quinnipiac University

About Aaron:

What’s up guy’s Aaron Robinson here. I like to think of myself as the good looking twin, and the brains of this operation (Just kidding, kind of). But as you can tell, I am a pretty laid back all around fun person. I am currently living in Baltimore, MD, where I have the pleasure of covering many of the college teams that are located in the DMV Metropolitan Area. You can catch me on the play-by-play broadcasts for Coppin State Men’s Basketball home games, or on the sidelines at The University of Maryland, Georgetown, George Mason, Towson or any of the other schools that I cover in the area on any given gameday. I also do some writing for NBC Sports Edge, where I cover the NBA, writing a weekly column that drops every Thursday morning! If you would like to check those out be sure to follow me on Twitter @AceRobinson_ or on Instagram @Acebooggiee where you can find a highlight on my story with all of them.

I am a former Division 1 basketball player, having played four years at Quinnipiac University in the MAAC, and one year in the MEAC at Coppin State University. I played at Quinnipiac from 2015-2019 where I played two years for coach Tom Moore, and two years for Baker Dunleavy before I played the 2019-2020 season for Juan Dixon at Coppin State. While at Quinnipiac, I got the opportunity to participate in a national award winning student media organization, doing things such as reporting, anchoring, interviewing, writing, and filming and editing highlights of games just to name a few things. I got the opportunity to work with some extremely talented individuals during this time, while also learning from some of the best professors in the field. While working on different stories throughout my time there, I was able to work with professionals in the field such as Kevin Blackistone and Howard Bryant, among others. I was able to graduate Magna Cum Laude with a degree in journalism and a minor in sports studies.

Prior to Quinnipiac, I attended Putnam Science Academy in Putnam, CT for a post-graduate year in 2014-2015 where I started on the wing alongside NBA Slam Dunk Champion Hamidou Diallo. I am originally a native of Takoma Park, MD and I attended Springbrook High School in Montgomery County, MD. My brother and I thank you so much for coming to us to consume our content, and we hope that you will continue to support us as we continue to grow, and bring you the best sports content we can!

So with that being said, let’s get this show on the road!

Aaron and Andrew Robinson on the set of Quinnipiac's Bobcat Breakdown

About Andrew:

My name is Andrew Robinson, and I am in fact the better looking, and mastermind behind this operation! (Don’t believe the other guy’s lies). I am currently playing professional basketball overseas for Imortal Basket, which is a team located in Albufeira, Portugal in the top division of the country. I earned a Masters Degree in Human Service Administration with a focus in negotiations and conflict management from Coppin State and The University of Baltimore in the spring of 2021. I graduated Magna Cum Laude in the Spring of 2019 from Quinnipiac University with a Bachelor's Degree in journalism with a minor in sports studies. Quite simply, sports are my passion. I’ve played basketball my entire life, but my love for sports extends far beyond the hardwood. I grew up playing football, soccer, softball, golf, and I even ran track. Quite simply I did it all, and this is what first gave me my passion for sports journalism. I figured if I couldn’t play all of these sports, what better way to stay around the game then to cover it, and be able to talk about it and watch it?

Today, while playing professionally, my goal is to offer a unique insight into what life is like being both a journalist, as well as a professional athlete. Over time, there has been a disconnect between the media, and athletes, where players have developed a disdain and mistrust with media members. It is my goal to try and offer the best of both worlds, and bridge the gap between the two parties, while telling stories that are valuable to those on both sides. My love for sports, combined with my love for writing has inspired me to pursue sports journalism as my career path. It is my goal to one day, once I decide to hang up the kicks for good, have my own show, where I can combine my love for sports with my passion for social justice and advocacy, to discuss the many intersections of sports and politics in today's society, while also offering unique perspectives as both a player, and member of the media. I look forward to telling compelling stories that will move audiences and hopefully inspire others to be their best self each and every day.
